Celebrating a Champion for Children: Angela Muñoz Honored by First 5 Riverside County

We are thrilled to share that our very own Angela Muñoz, Director of Outreach & Education at JFK Memorial Foundation, has been named a Champion for Children by First 5 Riverside County!

This special recognition honors Angela’s more than 30 years of dedicated service to children and families throughout Riverside County. From leading trauma-informed care initiatives to building strong, lasting community partnerships, Angela has been a powerful force for positive change—and a source of daily inspiration to all of us here at JFK.

Angela’s work reflects the heart of our mission: empowering children and families to thrive. Her ability to lead with compassion, advocate with courage, and connect with others has helped shape programs that support the whole child—and the whole community.

The award was presented during a recent gathering of First 5 Riverside County Commissioners and community leaders who are committed to improving early childhood outcomes in our region. Angela stood proudly among fellow advocates who are making a difference in education, health, and family services.

We couldn’t be prouder of Angela and the legacy she continues to build. Her work doesn’t just touch lives—it transforms them.
