The John F. Kennedy Memorial Foundation recently joined SunLine Transit Agency, community leaders, mentors, supporters and Ophelia Program participants to celebrate the unveiling of the new Ophelia Butterfly Bus.
Now traveling throughout the Coachella Valley, the newly wrapped bus serves as a moving tribute to mentorship, leadership and opportunity. Featuring vibrant monarch butterflies and several inspiring local women, the bus was designed to celebrate the impact of the Ophelia Program and remind young women across the valley that their futures are full of possibility.
The unveiling brought together close to 100 guests at SunLine Transit Agency headquarters for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event recognized the power of mentorship, the importance of investing in young women and the continued partnership between the JFK Memorial Foundation and SunLine Transit Agency.
Since 2002, the Ophelia Program has empowered thousands of girls across the Coachella Valley through mentorship, leadership development and educational support. The new Butterfly Bus will help carry that message even farther, reaching residents throughout the region every day.
